Tale 2: The Treasurer & The Die

Once upon a time, the Knights had a treasurer that didn't treasure that well. All that he treasured was his own bank account. After a year of emptying the Knights' treasure chest into his own bank account, the commission that checked the financial yearbook of the treasurer found out about this horrible fact. The Knights were shocked by this fact. Never before had anyone tried to topple the accounts of the Knights, and never in such a severe manner.
Disgusted by this fact, the Knights sat together and started to found their plans. The loss of finance did not go unnoticed amongst the members of the Knights, and they were not happy about this fact. "This man deserves to be punished!" Someone shouted. "Yes he should!" Shouted another.  "But how? Nothing I can think about is severe enough as a punishment." Said a third person. In fact, nobody could think of a punishment severe enough to be rightful to this infringement. But the treasurer had to be punished, so a contest was signed out. Everybody could enter in this contest by describing the worst punishment they could think of. The winner of the contest would see his punishment executed in real life.
Days, weeks and even months passed before any decent entries came in. In the meantime, many futile attempts to kidnap the treasurer made their way. But all of the attempts failed miserably. The odds were looking bad from the side of the Knights. It seemed that the treasurer would go unpunished.
But finally, among all those mediocre entries, the Knights found what they wanted, the worst punishment possible for the fraud they had set their minds on. Someone had thought of the idea to merge the punishment of the treasurer with an item that was characteristic to the Knights themselves, namely a d8 die. The idea was to encapsulate the treasurer within a huge d8 and place the die within the walls of the Citadel. If the Knights made enough effort to keep the treasurer alive, he would serve as a warning to following treasurers at the Knights.
Until this day, the d8 is still situated within the Citadel. And word has it that the treasurer is still spending the rest of his miserable life inside the d8.

So let this be a warning to everyone, never ever place any food within arms reach of the d8. And make sure that the famous treasurer doesn't get his hands on you. The Knights have already lost one of their members to the, very hungry, treasurer in the past.
